Took my love and I took it down. Climbed a mountain and I turned around. And I saw my reflection in a snow covered hill. Well, the landslide brought me down. Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love? Can the child within my heart rise above? Can I sail through changing ocean tides? Can I handle the seasons of my life?

Well I’ve been afraid of changing ’cause I’ve built my life around you. But time makes bolder, children get older. I’m getting older, too.

Close to the holidays last year, I took a short trip to Singapore to watch Wicked The Musical at Marina. And I must say it was such a moment never to be forgotten. You see I’ve been a fan of the original Broadway cast of Wicked with Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth as lead cast for so long. So to speak, I’ve been singing “Defying Gravity” way before Glee was born. And ever since then I’ve been imagining how Elphaba would be misunderstood by everyone and Galinda be the only one who truly understands her. I cried five times during the musical. Yuh.

Stayed at a quiet neighborhood of Novena. The area was surrounded with upscale condominiums and clean parks. This tree stood on top of a mini hill along the road. I was quite amazed by the sheer mass of it.

Met with a couple of friends who are based in Singapore like Will Go (above). He brought me to this awesome boutique cafe called Jones The Grocer at the Mandarin Gallery. I was taken by its charm, I must admit. But I still prefer dining at P.S. Cafe.

On my last day, the infamous topless Abercrombie & Fitch models paraded the stretch of Orchard Road. But more than the eye candy I actually wanted to go inside the store. The last time I had the chance to shop at an A&F store was in Tokyo a couple of years back. I still remember the smell of old wooden walls, weathered doors, and fresh foliage in-store.

The city was perfect for some laidback shirt, jeans and flipflops. And an umbrella, of course.

Why hello there. We meet again.
